Our Doctors: Dr. Wember
Dr. Wember:
Dr. Wember started Hancock Animal Hospital to offer state-of-the-art care for your precious family members. Dr. Wember received his doctorate (DVM) from Colorado State University and completed an additional rotating medical and surgical internship. He has been working in both emergency and regular practices for over ten years. He will always strive to offer the best possible care to your pets.
Dr. Wember enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine. He believes in a thorough medical workup of patients as well as concentrating on preventative and routine care. Dr. Wember performs most of our surgeries. Dr. Wember also has in interest in Complementary Medical treatments to enhance traditional care for your pets. He has interest in treating a variety of conditions with alternative medical options, and will always offer you the most comprehensive care for your pets.
Dr. Wember believes that a thorough physical exam of all pets, routine diagnostics, and preventative care can provide you with the necessary information to offer your pets the best health care possible. He will always offer you multiple treatment options from very aggressive to a conservative approach to any medical problem or condition. You have the final say in ALL treatments decisions with your pet(s). Dr. Wember enjoys explaining medical conditions and informing you of all the treatment possibilities and options. Please ask as many questions as you can and make sure that you always feel comfortable and informed with the treatment decisions involving your animals. All questions are always welcome!
Our Technical Staff:
Gerry
Gerry is one of our veterinary assistants and is now a hospital manager. She has worked as a veterinary assistant for over 16 years. She has a magical touch with the animals and will always do everything she can to make you feel comfortable and satisfied with your visit. Gerry makes the animals feel at ease and has a gentle way in which the animals just love her. Gerry is a wealth of knowledge and information and is always happy to discuss your pet's care with you or anything regarding the hospital.
Lauren
Lauren is an integral part of our team. She is working at the front desk, in the exam room and surgery. She is very dedicated to your needs as a client and to the care of our patients. Lauren always has a smile on her face and is very skilled in all aspects of the practice. She is a wonderful person to ask any question you may have.
Kristen
Kristen has been with us on and off for over 4 years and has just returned after starting nursing school. She has excellent technical skills and a wonderful grasp of your pet's medical needs. Kristen is happy to help with any technical or medical questions you may have.
Meaghan
Meaghan started with us at the front desk and is now developing wonderful technical skills. She spends the time to get to know you and your pet and will be there to help you with anything you need.
Nancy
Nancy works at the front desk and will be there to greet you and your pet often. She has a wonderfully contagious laugh and truly cares about your happiness and all the animals we see. Nancy is so incredibly helpful and understanding- you will alwasy remember her and it will bring a smile on you face when you know she is there to greet you!
